Installing your Pet Station
1.Choose a spot by the door
Fix your Pet Station at the entrance your sitter or walker uses, at a comfortable height. Most owners place it near the lead hook or food area so it's impossible to miss on arrival.
2.Activate your station
Tap the station with your own phone to open its activation link, then link it to your TapHalo owner account. From that moment every tap is recorded against your home.
3.Test a tap in
Ask your sitter or walker to tap the station with any smartphone — no app to install. Their visit, activities and departure are recorded, and you get an instant notification.
Maintaining your Pet Station
No battery, no charging
The NFC chip inside your Pet Station is powered by the phone that taps it. The station needs no battery, charging or Wi-Fi connection.
Keep it clean
Wipe the station with a soft damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive pads — a quick wipe keeps the tap surface responsive.
Check your timeline
Open your Pet Care Timeline now and then to confirm visits are recording as expected. If a tap ever fails, try the QR code on the station as a backup.
Your station, your data
Visit records and photos are private to your owner account. Sitters can record a visit; only you can see the full history.
After the first year
Your Pet Station keeps working either way — the NFC chip needs no subscription, battery or Wi-Fi. TapHalo Cloud (£3.95/month or £42.66/year, saving 10%) keeps your live profile, unlimited updates, tap history, timeline, notifications and backups running. There is no contract, and you can cancel any time.
